My passion for travel started at a very young age when I first moved from New York City to Minnesota. At age twelve, I lived in Poitiers, France for a year, being immersed in the culture and attended a regular French school when I first arrived and finished in a class for foreign students, where I met kids from all over of the world. During that year, I traveled to different parts of France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Travel provides an amazing opportunity to learn and as an educator, I truly believe in continuing my education. As such, I regularly attend and participate in many international and domestic trade shows, seminars and meetings which better enables me to keep up on the latest trends. Having been a member of several panel discussions, I have been able to provide insight on destinations, travel styles and how to work with a travel professional. Connecting and re-connecting with tour operators, hoteliers, trade organizations and other travel suppliers and building these relationships and partnerships with the locals, allow me to create more personalized experiences, incorporating the traditions of these destinations.

While I love helping with all types of travel, I find it especially rewarding to help large families! As I have one myself, I know that traveling with large families can sometimes cause logistical issues. We may not be the norm, but I love making travel accessible for such families.
I have been to every continent, and have visited more than fifty countries along with the other half of Huckleberry Travel. Along the way, we have camped in a tent in Antarctica, cruised through the fjords of Norway and been on on safari in South Africa and Zimbabwe. We have climbed the Great Wall of China, stood on the rim of a volcano at sunrise, and eaten our way through the best barbecue restaurants in Kansas City. Our love of travel and passion for once-in-a-lifetime experiences have led us here: to help others have a fantastic time seeing the world.

I am an overachiever and a servant leader. I left the Corporate World where I worked as a Talent Acquisition Manager right out of college for 7 years, to follow my heart and passion and make a difference in the travel industry. I have never looked back. I now own my own home-based travel agency and love what I do. I love building relationships with the suppliers and my clients and assisting my valued clients to travel wise and enjoy life. Allow me to make your dream trip come true!
I am a graduate of Harding University and owner of RLX Travel Group, LLC. In addition, I'm a proud U.S. veteran and have been married for 30 years to my husband, a retired U.S. Army Special Forces soldier. The military afforded my family many opportunities to travel and I developed a desire to see the world! Several years ago, my husband and I decided to make major changes in our lifestyle. We sold our home and personal belongings, purchased a tour bus and toured the United States for a couple of years. While on the road, we often parked the bus at the nearest airport and jumped on a cruise ship for a change of pace! One cruise highlight was the 26-Day Transatlantic and British Isle Cruise we were able to experience. Amazing! In order to share our dream of travel, we decided to open a travel agency to help others experience the joy and excitement we've seen firsthand.
I have lived abroad and I have traveled the globe. I know Japan and SE Asia very well. I was selected as a G Adventures Ambassador of Change for my focus on sustainable travel. My favorite travel experiences include glacier hiking in Iceland, cherry blossoms in Japan, climbing inside an Egyptian pyramid, cruising in Ha Long Bay, snorkeling in bioluminescence, exploring Angkor Wat, to name a few! I love to put the puzzle pieces together to make an amazing vacation experience. I can help you plan a big bucket list adventure of a lifetime anywhere in the world. All you have to do is e-mail me to get started. I cannot wait to talk to you. Let`s Go Round the World!
